This cake was for a celebration. The customer wanted the cake to feed 50 people and also have a replica of the walkie-talkie style radio that the company sells. They, also, wanted the cake to have three distinct flavor layers to represent the three functions of the radio.

The half-sheet cake had a yellow cake layer, chocolate cake layer, and a red velvet cake layer. It was iced in vanilla buttercream. The radio was made out a loaf of pound cake covered lightly with vanilla buttercream. It was then covered with fondant. Everything on the radio was created out of fondant. The writing was edible food markers and writing fondant. The logos were made out of royal icing. They were traced out and filled in on waxed paper and allowed to harden. They were then placed on the finished cake.
